July 18, 2019 Report
Weekly jobless claims reported on July 18th, 2019 showed that for the period ending July 13th, there were 216,000 claims, with expectations of 220,000. The previous week's measure was 208,000, so this represented a slight increase from the previous week, but below expectations. The four-week moving average fell slightly to 218,750, which is off the recent lows seen in the April 13, 2019 report.
